t-butyl-C18-D-Glu-OtBu-PEG2-amide-PEG2-azide is a PEG linker comprised of an octadecanedioic acid and a glutamic acid, which is also protected by a terminal t-butyl ester, with a terminal t-butyl ester and an azide. The t-butyl groups can be deprotected under acidic conditions. Glutamic acid is an α-amino acid that is used in the biosynthesis of proteins. The azide group can react with alkyne, BCN, and DBCO via Click Chemistry to yield a stable triazole linkage. Reagent grade, for research use only.
